Erk Çatı polyurethane-based roof and front coating panels are composite products which are produced with polyurethane filling injected between pre-formed painted and unpainted double fold metal. In polyurethane-based panels, double fold aluminum-coated, galvanized sheet, 55% aluminum-zinc coated sheet or craft paper can be used according to preference.

Having been passed through various production stages on the two uniterrupted panel production line existing in the Arslanbey facilities of Erk Çatı, the polyurethane-based panels are provided for use through Erk Çatı authorized dealers throughout Turket as a symbul of quality.
Erk Çatı has a production capacity of over 5.500.000 m2 in its facilities established on an area of 33.000 m2.


Quality Production in Four Stages
Polyurethane-based panelstransforms into unique products passing through the following stages on the uninterrupted production line in Erk Çatı Arslanbey facilities :
1.Metal rolls entering the production line from one end, takes the form that constitutes the bottom and top surface of the panel by getting shaped on the corrugating lines.
2.Follows this stage, the process of polyurethane injection between the two surfaces on the polyurethane filling line.
3.Completing its chemical reaction on the moving band press, forms a “composite” panel together with the plates on the surface.
4.Getting cut in the desired lengths and quantity, are circumscribed and upon the completion of the curing period of 48 hours are set forth ready for shipping.

What is polyurethane?
Polyurethane is the general definition for a large family of materials which is available in various types such as potency, surface tissue, pressure resistance and intensity. Formed as a result of entering into reaction of two components called polyol and isocyanate with each other, the types of polyurethane which are used for heat insulation are named as Rigid Polyurethane Tough Foam. Rigid Polyurethane Tough Foam divides into two groups in itself according to the application method:
1.By injecting into a volume (Polyurethane-based Panel, Heat Insulation Plate, Refrigerator, Cold Room, Truck Body, Pipe and Tank insulations, etc.)

Calculation of Polyurethane Thickness

Application of polyurethane with a thickness suitable for the different heat conditions dominating various regions, has great significance for maintaining 100% heat insulation.
If the inner surface temperature of the panel is lower than the condensation limit of the water vapour in the air inside the structure, the water vapour touching the surface condensates and water drops appear on the surface.

This is called “perspiration.” The polyurethane thickness coating the structure must provide an inner surface temperature that will prevent the water vapour in the air from condensating due to inner/outer temperature differences. To calculate the polyurethane thickness that will ensure this easily, it is sufficient only to know the inner environmental temperature (Ti), the outer environmental temperature (To) and the inner environmental humidity rate (%) that will appear in the structure. Factors such as dimensions and quantity of the windows and the doors, being single or double fold of the glass on the windows also affects heat loss.
The following simple formula and the operation to be made, is only for the calculation of the polyurethane thickness that will cover the roof and the front.

Polyurethane-based Panel Assembly Instructions
As a perfect product for heat insulation and noise isolation, polyurethane panels provides many advantages for users when compared with other alternatives. The tests applied fastidiously till the products are manufactured and made ready for shipping in the facilities, are one of the significant factors to achive excellence; however also the users must care about some instructions to ensure the highest efficiency when assembling the panels.
1.
One of the most important points to pay attention before starting to mount is to determine the direction of the wind. The assembly must be performed towards the opposite direction of the wind.
2. Number of hooks and screws must be determined as to the strength of the wind and the quantity required by the details. (Minimum 2.5 pieces/m2)
3. Attention must be paid in order not to crush the plates during assembly; when walking on the roof, rubber shoes with flat base and without heels  and planks must be used.
4. The plates must be overlapped on each other at least 15 cm on the roof, and at least 10 cm on the surface.
5. For lengthwise conjunctions pop rivets must be applied with 35-40 cm. Intervals.
6. Points open to wind effects such as eaves and edges must be attached to horizontal beams with more frequent intervals.
7. On roofs with low inclination, silicone must be applied to conjunction places.
8. In order to avoid direct contact of materials such as steel horizontal beam, concrete and plaster with metal, the horizontal beams must be insulated with paint or any suitable material.

Connection of Polyurethane Panels To Each Other
Lengthwise Basis
The most practical application when connecting panels to each other is “POP RIVET.” It is applied as approximately 4 pieces per one square meter of the roof surface.

Transversal Basis
Hooks or screws are used when connecting panels to horizontal beams or to each other. Approximately 2.5 pieces of elements are required per one square meter of roof surface.
